Echinocereus engelmannii, US and Mexico native cactus.  Locations USA (Southern California, Arizona, Southern Nevada), Mexico (Baja California, Sonora).

Erect light green stems, 4" to 12" tall, 2" to 4" in diameter, branching from the base. Slow growing.  Needs good drainage and little water once established.

Echinocereus ledingii   A rare cactus species found in locations in southeast Arizona, between 4,000 and 6,500 feet. The plant is quite unique, not resembling other hedgehog species; it forms small clusters of tall, thin, cylindrical stems, each up to 18 by 8 inches in dimensions, covered by thick, yellow spines, which become darker with age.
